This collection includes illustrations of actors both in character and in ordinary dress, theatre interiors and exteriors including rare and original drawings by Nixon himself. The volume also contains correspondence, newspaper clippings featuring reviews, playbills, cast lists. Features reviews, and ticket designs for Sir Watkin Williams' private theatre at Wynnstay. Includes articles on the closing of the Drury Lane Theatre in 1791.
