Document Description Sir Charles and Lady Danvers find themselves deserted by their relations, who disapprove of their marriage. Sir Charles' uncle, Sir Bamber Blackletter, is offended at the marriage and determines to disinherit Sir Charles. Meanwhile, Sir Bamber is in love with Miss Union, and is determined to marry her, as she is in possession of a coveted manuscript.
