Document Description | Taken from Pixérécourt's "Le pélerin blanc." This play was so popular that it continued to be performed into the late 19th century on both sides of the Atlantic. The protagonist, the Count de Croissy, owns the castle of Olival. His sister, the Baroness, wants the castle for herself, but the Count has two sons which should inherit the castle. |
