Document Description Produced as 'A Cure for Romance' on the 30th August. The characters of Charles Clover and his servant Whisk, set about trying to cure the character of Caroline of the many romantic notions which she has acquired from reading many romance novels. Clover, who Caroline's father wishes her to marry, disguises himself as various romantic characters through which he convinces her that the principles of romance, in practice, are very different to their theory.
