Document Description Manuscript title-page, dated by Larpent June 7, reads, 'A Hasty Sketch in 2 Acts written for the purpose of introducing Mr. Kean in a variety of Exhibitions'. Produced for Kean’s benefit. Based on the history of James Crichton, known as the Admirable Crichton who was a noted scholar thought to be one of the most gifted people of the 16th Century. He entered the service of the Duke of Mantua in 1582.
