Document Description The Son of the Duke of Mirandola, Guido, return home after which a long absence in which he was reported dead. He finds his love recently married to his father, and his aunt, who's son is next inline to the throne after him is unhappy to hear of his return. The aunt tricks the new young duchess into sending Guido a ring for old friendship. His father, Mirandola discovers the ring on his sons finger and, after interrupting a sad meeting between the two lovers, sentences him to death in a jealous rage.
