Document Description | The widow of the manager at Dover theatre, sends the new manager to London with a copy of a new play to recruit actors, whilst he is away she meets a new man who she fancies to take her out of widowhood. She makes him the manager of the theatre and sacks her man in London. In revenge he cancels the performances without letting them know, and the drama ensues. |
