John Payne Collier in his copy of the Biographia Dramatica writes: The Inquiry...is in my hands-It is a ridicule of the Corporation of London during a time of Scarcity and the date of 1785 is mentioned in it. It is a manuscript. and perhaps never was acted, although my copy is in the hand writing of the copyist of the theatre. It has no author's name. |
