Additional Information Maunscript. Title-page states "Written by Captain P Ewing Marines The Music by Dibdin; MS is signed at end, Peter Ewing Capt: of Marines The 2d Day of April 1791." Compared to a later edition [1792], the printed version is longer than the manuscript. John Payne Collier in Biographia Dramatica: ...it seems doubtful whether it was not performed, although there is no manger's letter with the manuscript.
