Additional Information | Manuscript was dated, by Larpent, Covent Garden, Nov. 10. Contains two prologues (one also used with The World in a Village [LA 997]) and epilogue. Compared to 1794 edition, the last scene is quite different; otherwise practically identical. John Payne Collier in Biographia Dramatica: "In Larpent's manuscript copy she 'stabs herself & dies.' (Concerning the two endings, see B.D.) |
