Additional Information | David Garrick himself starred in this play as a result of a feud with Robert Dodlesy whose play Cleone, after being rejected by Garrick, was due to premier at the Covent Garden Theatre. Garrick scheduled The Busy Body to premier on the same night, thus dividing the fashionable theatre goers of London. |
